The Queens School of Inquiry is an Early College Secondary School, grades 6 though 12, the result of a collaboration of the New York City Department of Education, the City University of New York, Queens College and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Beginning with 6th grade, the goal of QSI is to create an environment that prepares young people to earn up to 60 Queens College credits - tuition free - while they are earning a high school diploma.

We offer small class sizes, highly trained and caring teachers, individual attention to students, intensive after-school and summer support and a close partnership with both Queens College and our parents.

We practice inquiry-based learning - helping students to ask questions and supporting them with the building blocks of the basics as they explore the subject matter and then present their findings to a real audience. We believe in hands-on, real-world experiences.

We believe that educating students to become caring and ethical adults is a top priority.

Our expectations are high--for our students, for our staff, and for our parents.  The Queens School of Inquiry is a partnership in every sense of the word.
