Movie Response Questions
Movie Response Questions are due 2 days following the completion of the movie (Under the Same Moon). Short answer questions (in Spanish) must be answered in Spanish. These receive 3 class participation grades. The longer questions (in English) should be answered in a 5-paragraph response IN ENGLISH. These responses receive an essay grade for content quality (not English grammar)

Assessment -- Ordering in a Restaurant
You have a choice between the following methods of assessment:
1) Authentic Assessment (at a restaurant). Students will be assessed on: being able to order at the restaurant and be understood by the Spanish-speaking waitstaff, being able to comment on the food served, speaking formally and respectfully to all restaurant staff, and overall maintaining an etiquette appropriate for a public eating space.
Meet at 1:30pm in Room 231, and bring the following [handouts attached below]:
--Restaurant script (the original handout, a copy, or flash cards)
--Vocabulary list I (Commenting on foods, Viejo mundo/Nuevo mundo)
--Vocabulary list II (Foods, Actions, Cubiertos)

Post-Test due Wed., 12/09
Correct and rewrite all sentences that contained errors. Include an explanation to show you understand why the original answer you gave was wrong, and the new one is correct.

Write definitions (in English) of each term, without using the English word.
Code all terms: D=Desayuno, A=Almuerzo, C=Cena, P=Postre, B=Bebida.
