8/9th Grade Elective Greek +/- Project

Wednesday, 21 October 2009 Bring in your sketches of designs for your Greek vase as well as a complete thumbnail sketch of your positive and negative designs for the vase. You will also need one for the motifs that go around the vase. Make sure you have your brushes as well as the rest of your materials.
6th Grade Sumerian Art Project

Tuesday, 20 October 2009 - Friday, 23 October 2009 Please bring in a papertowel or toilet paper cardboard inner tube. This will be used for your Sumerian Art project that will be counted towards your art and social studies grade. Due Tuesday October 20.

Wednesday, 30 September 2009 The LINE QUIZ will be taken by 6th Graders on Wednesday September 30 using notes and newly aquired knowledge of lines.

Monday, 21 September 2009 - Tuesday, 29 September 2009 Contour Landscape project due at the end of class on Tuesday the 29th of September. you must hand in the completed art work as well as the typed artist statement.

8/9th grade elective low relief box prep

Thursday, 24 September 2009 How to prepare the box for the low relief: 1. Measure up from the bottom of the box one inch using a ruler, mark it all around the box, then cut entire perimeter with a scissor. 2. Now that your box is more like a tray, line the inside and the sides with aluminum foil. Wrap around the edges with tape once. 3. Cut slits about one inch into and against the perimeter of the edges, but the cut must stop before it hits the bottom of the box. 4. Using string that you took from class or that you may have at home, wrap the rope around the box making sure that at each pass, it is caught between the slits that you cut into the edges. Remember from the class demonstration that the rope needs to wrap around the bottom of the box. 5. Make sure your name is on the back. 6.Read more >>
Art Materials
Parents! Please make sure that your child hasher/his art materials for class. Art projects have begun and if your child does not have their materials, s/he is unprepared. If you are having difficulties providing the materials, please notify Ms. Park immediately.
