        The title of the book that I read, was Earth in Space. The author of this book, is Donna Latham. I got this book from my friend. He was doing his homework, and I saw it. So I asked him if I could borrow it, and he said yes. The reason why I picked this book, was because it was about space.

        I learned many things from this book. One thing that I learned, was the pattern of seasons. The pattern of seasons is caused by Earths tilt. Earth always tilts the same way when it orbits. At different times of the year, different parts of Earth tilt toward the sun. These parts that tilt towards the Sun, get more daylight. They are also, warmer.

        One more thing that I learned, was about asteroids. An asteroid is a rocky mass that revolves around the Sun. An asteroid is much smaller than a planet. Many asteroids have uneven shapes. Some asteroids, have smaller asteroids that orbit them. Asteroids can be several hundred kilometers wide, but some are as tiny as a pebble.

        Reading this book I have learned many things. I think I learned everything ,that I needed to know, about space. All year long, I read about space. The reason why I was learning about space, was because I didn’t have a lot of knowledge about it. I can make a text-to-world connection, because comets and asteroids hit Earth.
