I read the book "Super Storms" by Seymour Simon. This book is about storms and weather. I found this book in Mr. Carpenter's bookshelf. I picked this book because of the title. The title drew me into reading the book.

Storms according to this book are sudden and violent changes in the weather. Some examples of a storm is a thunderstorm and a hurricane. STorms can be very dangerous and can even kill people or damage things like buildings. I found an article on http://www.fema.gov/kids about winterstorms. There are important thing to know about winterstorms. It is also important to know what to do in a winterstorm. 

It can be very dangerous and not good if you don't dress correctly in cold temperatures. Blocked roads and power lines falling down is caused by heavy snow and ice. During winter, there can be lot of  heavy snowfall and it can be very cold in lots areas of different countries.

 I read Storm Chasers. The author is Trudi Strain Trueit.  I found it in Mr. Carpenters library. When I saw the title, I thought that it would be interesting, and it was. I wanted to learn more about storms.

 Tornados are unpredictable. Tornadoes destroy many things, such as trees and houses. NWS stands for National Weather Service. An F-5 tornado is the strongest. It has never hit Oklahoma City until 1999.

 A tornado is a column of air that spins. Convergence is when the wind is blowing in different directions. Tornado Alley is a location where many tornado's strike. Atmospheric presssure is when air presses down on the earth.Read more >>

        Before I start, I had to go online and do this cause I forgot my book in school. So my title is called lightning. I found it on Wikipedia.com. It talks about all the things that have to do with lightning. Things like what lightning is, how lightning is caused and other things like that. Here you will learn the things about lightning you already knew and the dark secrets you didn’t know about it.
